*Note: corrections and additions to the Ennis and related families has been generously provided by Kathy (Ennis) Mooney. According to Ms. Mooney, Andrew Ennis Sr. (b. 1779-Ireland, d. 1834) and Mary (unknown surname) arrived in Wisconsin in July 1855. Prior to that, family records indicate that Andrew arrived in Providence, Rhode Island, from County Cavan in 1844.

Andrew and Mary's children were Christian (or Christopher) (b. 1803-Ireland, d. 1834), Catherine (b. 1805-Ireland), Bernard (b.1807-Ireland), Michael (b. 1809-Ireland), Patrick (b. 1814, d. 1879), Anne (b. 1815-Ireland), Mary (b. abt. 1821-Ireland, d. 25 Jun 1887; buried at St. Columba), and Andrew Jr. (b. abt. 1823-Ireland, d. 4 Jul 1851-Richfield).

Known marriages for the children included: Bernard marrying a McCartin (first name unknown), Mary marrying Hugh Reilly in Providence, R. I. on 18 Jun 1846, and Andrew Jr. marrying Ann O'Connell.

Bernard and his McCartin spouse had two children, Christopher (b. 1838), who married Elizabeth Morley, and Patrick (b. 1856-County Leitrim), who married Catherine Smyth Aghawee. Bernard and his wife had eight children who were all born in County Cavan, Ireland. Their children were Bernard, Mary Ellen, Catherine, Annie, Philip, Nora, Patrick, and Andrew.

Mary (Ennis) Reilly arrived in Wisconsin around 1850. Mary and Hugh's children were Catherine, Christopher, Michael, Hugh Jr., Mary, and Patrick J., Andrew Mathias, and Hubert. Patrick J. married Mary B. Kirk and their children were Mabel and Evelyn Pearl.

Andrew Ennis Jr. and Ann O'Connell were married in Providence on 24 Jul 1851. Their first two children Mary (b. 1852) and Catherine Clara (b. 1854) were both born in Rhode Island. Their third child, Ann (b. 1856) was born in Wisconsin. Their other children were Christopher (b. 1858), Andrew [III] (b. 1860), Michael (b. 1862), Daniel Patrick (b. 1864), Isabelle (b. 1866), Julia Agnes (b. 1868), and Peter James (b. 1871).

Andrew Jr. and Ann's daughter, Mary, married William Sennott and their children were Michael James (who married Catherine Helen Smith), Agnes Ann (who married Joseph Schmidt), Isabella Mary (who married Charles Treleven), and William Eugene (who married Kathryn Agnes Miley).

The next daughter of Andrew Jr. and Ann married James Clark.

Andrew Jr. and Ann's son, Christopher married Anastasia Moroney.

The next son of Andrew Jr. and Ann, Andrew [III], married Margret Ann Rose and their children were Sylvester Andrew (who married Jennie Harker), Clarence Eugene "Gene" (who married Virginia ((surname unknown)) ), Mabel Mary Ann Agnes (who married Lawrence Hyink), Julia Ruth (who married Burton Charles Smith and later William Arndt), and a baby girl who died in infancy.

Andrew Jr. and Ann's son, Michael, married Margaret Purtell and their children were Regina Irene (who married Julius Mueller), Anna Marie (who married Martin J. Krueger), John Edwin (who married Dorothy Ruth Schroeder), Catherine Mary, Andrew Vincent (who married Genevra Margaret Snow), Raphael Aloysius (who married Anna Margaret Monroe), and Willard Francis.

Andrew Jr. and Ann's son, Daniel Patrick, married Grace Nye.

The next daughter of Andrew Jr. and Ann, Isabelle, married Michael J. O'Rourke.

The next daughter of Andrew Jr. and Ann, Julia Agnes, married Francis Connolly.

And the youngest son of Andrew Jr. and Ann, Peter James, married Esther Steiner.

Many members of the later generations moved to Menomonee Falls and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for employment like many of the people in the area.
